Effective Solutions for Material Characterization

Seminar

Porous materials like activated carbons, zeolites, or metal organic frameworks largely owe their industrial value to the ability to control the rate of transport of different molecules. Physical Gas Adsorption and Chemisorption experiments are standard techniques for the characterization of porous solids. Chemisorption e.g. is used to quantitatively measure the number of surface-active sites which are key to promote a specified catalytic reaction. Interpreting critical parameters like the active element, metal dispersion, and surface acidity are key to produce meaningful data.

Prof. Dr. Petra de Jongh, Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science, Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis at Utrecht University and Micromeritics Instrument Corporation, a global leader in material characterization technologies, will host a seminar on "Effective Solutions for Material Characterization".

Lectures will cover Chemisorption and Gas Adsorption techniques, as well as methods to determine Density, Porosity and Behavior of Powders. The University will also offer a tour through their laboratories.

Seats are selling out quickly. Check the detailed agenda on our registration page. Register today to refresh or enhance your material characterization and analysis knowledge.
