Introduction The base catalyzed production of Biodiesel is done by the transesterification of tri-glycerides to methyl esters out of oils by adding heat, methanol and catalyst (KOH). Oils, like recycled cooking oils (yellow grease), animal fat, rapeseed oil, palm oil, soy oil, canola and jatropha. Besides control of the incoming raw material on iodine value (AOCS approved, procedure Cd 1e_01), free fatty acids and moisture content, it is equally important to control the Biodiesel reaction and consequently to check the final properties of the commercial end product. Final control of the end product Biodiesel has to fulfil the requirements of ASTM D 6751 and EN-14214. Process control can be done for example before phase separation, before and after purification (settle tank and/or ion exchanger). The problem before phase separation is the high content of glycerine, which settled very quickly in the sample container. So a centrifuge preparation step is needed.

Organizers have acted quickly to secure three new dates for events in Japan, Southeast Asia and North America Amsterdam, 17 March 2020: The CPhI Pharma portfolio confirms new exhibition dates for CPhI Japan, CPhI South East Asia and CPhI North America. Following a detailed review of attendee requirements and event feasibility, the organizers have moved quickly to secure new dates for three editions of the CPhI pharma series. CPhI South East Asia will now take place July 1-3, 2020 at the Challenger 2, IMPACT centre in Bangkok, Thailand, with CPhI Japan being held September 30th until October 2nd, 2020 at the Intex Osaka Exhibition Center in Osaka, Japan. The separation is based strictly on the size of the sample in solution, and there should be no interaction with the stationary phase of the GPC column. Elution order in GPC is that of an “inverse-sieving” technique, large molecules access a smaller pore volume than smaller molecules resulting in larger molecules eluting from the GPC column prior to the smaller molecules. GPC can determine several important parameters. These include number average molecular weight (Mn), weight average molecular weight (Mw), Z weight average molecular weight (Mz), and the most fundamental characteristic of a polymer, its molecular weight distribution.
